Fox Sports has acquired the rights to broadcast the 2017 Fifa Club World Cup in Italy.
The Fox Entertainment Group-owned broadcaster will show all matches from the global club soccer tournament exclusively live in the country.
The financial details of the deal have not been disclosed.
The 2017 Fifa Club World Cup, which sees seven clubs compete for the title, is due to take place from 6th December to 16th December in Abu Dhabi, with European champions Real Madrid returning as the defending champions. Teams already confirmed for the event include Mexican outfit Pachuca, Moroccan side Wydad Casablanca, New Zealand’s Auckland City, and Al Jazira of the UAE.
The Asian Football Confederation’s (AFC) Champions League and South American Football Confederation’s (Conmebol) Copa Libertadores winners will also qualify after they are confirmed later in November.
