First Data has announced a three-year partnership with Martinsville Speedway in Virginia, USA to secure the title sponsorship of the circuit’s annual Monster Energy Nascar Cup Series race.
The agreement will be activated at the First Data 500 on 29th October, and will see the global payment technology solutions company sponsor an event from US motorsport's preeminent stock car racing serieseach year until 2019. Based on similar deals in Nascar, First Data is likely to be committing around US$3 million in total.
Additionally, the Nebraska-based firm’s Clover platform will be deployed at the Martinsville Speedway, Phoenix Raceway and Homestead-Miami Speedway during races hosted by the three venues in the remainder of the 2017 season.
