Total has become the official fuel supplier of the FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC) motorsport series.
The French oil and gas company has agreed a five-year deal with promoter Automobile Club de l’Ouest (ACO) that will also see it become a partner of the 24 Hours of Le Mans, the European Le Mans Series and the Asian Le Mans Series.
Total replaces Shell as the WEC's fuel supplier. No financial terms were released.
The ACO has said it will reveal more details about the partnership at the 2017 edition of the 24 Hours of Le Mans on 17th and 18th June.
This year's WEC season began with the 6 Hours of Silverstone in the UK from 14th to 16th April. The race was won by Toyota Gazoo Racing.
