FFF partners with NetEase

The French Football Federation (FFF), the governing body for soccer in France, has signed a content agreement with Chinese media company NetEase Media Technology.

NetEase will be granted exclusive content to France’s men’s national team during the 2018 Fifa World Cup, which will include interviews and archived footage of matches. It will also have access to Les Blues training sessions and press conferences throughout the global tournament that is being held in Russia between 14th June and 15th  July.

The online service fulfilled the same role with both the Brazilian and Spanish men’s national teams throughout the 2014 Fifa World Cup.

The financial terms of the deal, which runs until the end of the 2018 Fifa World Cup, have not been made public.

France’s men’s national team qualified for the 2018 Fifa World Cup by topping their group. Didier Deschamps’ team were consequently drawn in Group C for international soccer’s showpiece along with Australia, Peru and Denmark.
