The Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP), the global organising body for men's tennis, has extended its relationship with the world's largest courier delivery services company, FedEx, for a further three years.
The new deal sees the relationship between the ATP and FedEx renewed until the end of 2019, with the logistics firm continuing to support 17 World Tour tennis tournaments across the season each year.
"With its unique global footprint, the ATP World Tour is the perfect match for FedEx,” said Rajesh Subramaniam, the executive vice president of global marketing and communications at FedEx. “We share many values with this globally popular sport, such as speed, precision, anticipation and service. Since the sponsorship began in 2010, we have seen many priceless moments on the court and the passion of the fans has continued. With this year’s addition of the Dubai and Rio de Janeiro tournaments to our sponsorship, we expect to reach an even wider global audience of millions of fans through television and other media."
The next event on the ATP's calendar is the Rio Open, part of the World Tour 500 series, which begins on 20th February.
