FC Barcelona sign with Betfair
Spanish soccer champions FC Barcelona have signed a new deal with British gaming company Betfair.
According to 'FC Barcelona News' the deal will last for two to three years and is worth something between US$2.1 million and US$2.9 million a year to the Spanish team.
The news is yet to be confirmed on the official club website, but when it is Betfair will replace Austrian company Bwin as Barcelona's betting partner. Bwin also currently sponsor the shirts of Barcelona's arch rivals Real Madrid.
According to sources of FC Barcelona News, the deal will see Betfair have the right to use Barcelona in its marketing campaigns as well as feature on the club's official site and in other official media outlets.
