Premier League soccer side Everton have signed a deal with British brewery Molson Coors which sees Carling become their official beer.
The partnership, which is described as ‘multi-year’, sees Carling replace the club's longstanding official beer and former shirt sponsor Chang.
The team are set to debut the new partnership at their final pre-season fixture, against Spanish side Sevilla on 6th August, before the new Premier League campaign begins the following weekend.
Carling has a long association with English soccer, having previously been the title sponsor of both the Premier League and the League Cup. It once again became the official beer of English soccer's top flight at the start of the 2016/17 season.
“We’re delighted to be partnering with such an iconic British brand in Carling, as they become the club’s official UK beer partner," said Alan McTavish, head of commercial at Everton.
“At Everton we take great pride in building long-lasting relationships with our partners and are committed to ensuring Carling achieve the maximum value from their association with the club in the coming years.”
Jim Shearer, brand director of Carling, added: "We're delighted to be teaming up with a club of Everton’s stature - and if the current transfer window is anything to go by we're in for a very exciting season. Everton are a real community club and through our network of pubs in and around Merseyside we’ll be looking to create long-lasting relationships with fans."
Everton finished seventh in last season's Premier League and, under new owner Farhad Moshiri, have embarked on a spending spree this summer, most notably bringing former player Wayne Rooney back to the club from Manchester United.
