Eleven Sports has secured the Polish broadcast rights for German soccer’s Bundesliga and 2. Bundesliga.
Except for one match per round, all games in the top two tiers of German soccer will be available to Polish subscribers of the Andrea Radrizzani-owned pay-TV channel. The four-year deal, which was agreed with media rights holder DFL Sports Enterprises, will begin at the start of the 2017/18 season.
“We are thrilled to add live coverage of Bundesliga and Bundesliga 2 to the growing list of premium sports available to fans in Poland,” says Danny Menken, group managing director at Eleven Sports.
“Eleven Sports continues to revolutionise the broadcast market globally by providing fans with the best sporting action, anytime, anywhere. “This latest addition underlines our commitment to our disruptive strategy that places fans at the very heart of the action with comprehensive localised coverage and incredible access to the biggest games and the best players.”
Germany’s top flight includes some of Poland’s principal international players, such as Bayern Munich’s prolific forward Robert Lewandowski, Borussia Dortmund defender Łukasz Piszczek and experienced Wolfsburg midfielder Jakub Błaszczykowski.
