Eleven Sports and ESPN 3 have agreed rights deals to broadcast the 2017 World Rally Championship (WRC).
The deal, which includes both live coverage and highlights, will see Eleven become the WRC's exclusive pay-TV partner in the US, while ESPN 3 will stream the global motorsport series across its online platform through its exclusive digital rights agreement.
"USA is, of course, a huge market and our new agreements will increase the WRC’s audience by delivering increased coverage and exposure to sports fans there," said WRC Promoter's managing director, Oliver Ciesla. “Eleven Sports is a fast-developing player in televised sport which caters for a young demographic. ESPN needs no introduction as one of the most powerful brands in the USA’s sports media landscape.”
After five races, Sebastien Oglier currently leads the WRC driver's championship, 16 points ahead of Jari-Matti Latvala.
