DKB renews German athletics sponsorship
Deutsche Kreditbank (DKB) has renewed its sponsorship of the German Athletics Federation (DLV) until 2018.
The financial services group's logo will appear on German national team vests and uniforms in a range of competitions from 2014, including the European Championships, with the deal set to run through two editions of the IAAF World Athletics Championships and on to the 2018 European Championships in Berlin.
DKB first became a sponsor of German athletics in 2010 and its current deal had been set to expire in 2014.
"I am very pleased that the German Athletics Federation (DLV) and DKB will work together successfully in the future," said DLV president Dr Clemens Prokop. "The decision for a long-term cooperation opens up many opportunities for us to make our way to the European Championships 2018 in Berlin together."
Berlin was awarded the 2018 European Athletics Championships at the start of November by the European Athletics Council. It was the sole remaining bidder. The event will be held at the city's Olympiastadion, which hosted the 2009 World Athletics Championships.blog comments powered by Disqus
