Japanese watch giant Seiko has renewed its partnership with Novak Djokovic for a further four years.
The Serbian tennis superstar will be seen wearing the Seiko Astron GPS Solar in post-match interviews and press conferences. The company has also released the Novak Djokovic 2015 Seiko Astron SSE060, a limited edition timepiece named after the former world number one, and will work alongside Djokovic to create three new lines for travel, special occasions, and outdoor sporting activities.
Seiko will also continue to promote and fund the Novak Djokovic Foundation, a charitable organisation that supports children in Serbia.
Djokovic first signed an agreement with Seiko in early 2014. Prior to this he endorsed Swiss watchmaker Audemars Piguet.
Shinji Hattori, chief executive of Seiko Watch Corporation, said: “It has been a privilege and a pleasure to work with Novak over the past three years and we are delighted to continue to support him over the next phase of his remarkable career.”
“I am delighted to renew my partnership with Seiko for four more years,” added Djokovic. “The first three years have been phenomenal and I am so proud to be part of the Seiko family. I really, really look forward to what is ahead of us all in this great partnership.”
Djokovic has won six Grand Slams and 25 tournaments since signing with Seiko. Before being overtaken by Andy Murray in November, he was ranked the men’s world number one for 28 consecutive months.
