Bundesliga soccer side FC Köln have extended their sponsorship deal with the German post office Deutsche Post.
The agreement, which has been in place since 2014, has been renewed a further three years until the end of the 2019/2020 season. Deutsche Post will remain a second-tier 'exclusive partner' of the club.
According to Sponsors.de, the terms of the deal entitle FC Köln to an annual €700,000 (US$780,000).
“Whether it is the use and communication of our state-of-the-art postal products, to logistics or a successful customer relationship – the football club has proved to be a constructive and effective partner,” said Martin Linde, Deutsche Post’s sales executive. “We are looking forward to continuing this highly professional collaboration and jointly launching other innovative projects.”
FC Köln are seventh in the Bundesliga, German soccer’s top flight, and wrap up their season with a game at home to Mainz on Saturday.
