Top-tier Spanish soccer side Deportivo Alavés have announced a new partnership with Qubo.
The smartphone and electronics manufacturer will become the new sleeve sponsor of the La Liga outfit in a deal which will see the Chinese company’s logo adorn the left sleeve of the first team’s playing shirts. The players will wear Qubo-branded tops for the first time when they host Real Madrid on 23rd September.
Qubo will also benefit from a range of advertising opportunities inside the club’s Estadio Mendizorrotza home ground and across their official digital channels. The length and financial terms of the partnership have not been disclosed.
Alavés are 19th in La Liga following a dismal start to the season. Last year’s Copa del Rey finalists have lost all four of their opening games without scoring a goal, and Sunday’s 3-0 defeat at home to Villarreal was swiftly followed by the sacking of manager Luis Zubeldia, exactly three months after he replaced Mauricio Pellegrino.
The club have appointed Javier Cabello as their interim manager, and he will take charge of his first game away to Deportivo de La Coruña on 20th September.
