Deltatre has agreed a partnership with the Indonesia Asia Games Organising Committee (INASGOC).

The Bruin Sports Capital-owned sports media and technology provider will design, create and power the official website and mobile applications for the 2018 Asian Games using its Multisport Platform Forge.

The company will also serve as an ‘official supporting sponsor’, in a deal which marks the brand’s first sponsorship of a global sports competition.

“[Deltatre] will play a critical role in our mission to deliver the best traditions and experiences of the Games to sports fans throughout Asia,” said Erick Thohir, president of INASGOC.

“They are the industry’s foremost experts with decades of experience creating best-in-class digital platforms and services to support live, multi-sport competitions that connect with multi-national audiences.”

“With Asia leading digital growth rates, providing a proven digital platform has arguably never been more important,” added Stefano Rigat, president, EMEA for Deltatre.

The 18th edition of the Asian Games will be jointly hosted by Jakarta and Palembang, Indonesia, and is set to take place from 18th August to 2nd September.

This year’s multi-sport event is set to involve more than 10,000 athletes from 45 territories competing in 67 disciplines across 40 sports, including traditional Asian ones such as sepak takraw, pencak silat, wushu and kabaddi.
