DAZN, the OTT service operated by digital sports media company Perform Group, has strengthened its Italian soccer portfolio by securing exclusive rights to Serie B, the second tier of Italian soccer.

After acquiring exclusive rights to 114 games per year from Italy’s Serie A in mid-June, DAZN has picked up the multi-platform rights to all 472 Serie B games per year, with 428 of these on an exclusive basis for each of the next three seasons.

Until the end of the 2020/21 season, ten out of 11 fixtures on each matchday will be exclusively live on DAZN’s platforms. The agreement includes rights to all play-offs in the division.

The partnership with Serie A and Serie B marks DAZN’s first move into Italian soccer. All DAZN content will be accessible via Smart TV, PC, smartphone, tablets and games consoles at a cost of €9.99 per month.

Jacopo Tonoli, chief commercial officer for Perform Group, said: “We’re very excited to announce DAZN as the new home of Serie B. With an extensive line up of exclusive games from both Serie A and Serie B, and additional sports rights to announce soon, we look forward to welcoming fans to our platform when we launch this summer, with a unique and affordable subscription.”
