DAZN launches ‘Redzone-style’ Champions League service

Over-the-top (OTT) streaming platform DAZN is launching a new service for its Canadian Uefa Champions League coverage that lets subscribers take in six games concurrently.

‘Box to Box’ will show every major incident from European soccer’s top club knockout competition, with six games being played concurrently, as it happens.

Hosted by Irish broadcaster Colin Murray, the service will work in a similar fashion to the National Football League’s (NFL) ‘Redzone’ but with additional expert analysis as opposed to just commentary.

In May, DAZN secured the exclusive broadcast rights in Canada for the Champions League, Europa League and Super Cup for three seasons until 2020/21 and will roll out ‘Box to Box’ from 19th September, when the group stage begins.

In addition, Canadian DAZN subscribers will be able to select which Champions League match they watch live and on-demand.

Over the next eight months, DAZN will exclusively stream all 138 Champions League and 205 Europa League matches in Canada.
