The Vendée Globe has partnered with Dailymotion.com to provide live streams and regular interviews from the single-handed, round-the-world sailing race.
The partnership, financial details of which were not released, will see the video sharing website provide live coverage and race-related content on a dedicated Vendée Globe page.
“Dailymotion will provide fans with an easy way to view the greatest adventures in sport and a true test of human endurance - via any connected device,” said Harriet Fuest, UK content manager at Dailymotion.
- Red Bull Media House to showcase content via Dailymotion
- Dailymotion to show live European beach volleyball
“Throughout the race we will deliver daily and weekly programmes offering compelling content from the race with live video blogs from skippers, synopses of the race to date, comments and analyses, and several live streams to ensure fans do not miss any of this adventure,” Fuest added.
The Vendée Globe began on Sunday 11th November with 20 boats leaving Les Sables d’Olonne off the French Atlantic coast. However, after a series of incidents, including two collisions with fishing trawlers, only 16 boats remain.
