Cycling Australia extends with Santini

Italian manufacturer Santini has renewed its kit supply deal with Cycling Australia for a further three years.

Santini will provide the federation with elite-level apparel for Australia’s road, mountain bike, BMX, para-cycling and track national teams. In addition, it will continue to make the leader's jersey for the National Road Series (NRS) leader.

The financial terms of the renewal, which continues a partnership that initially began in 2001, were not released.

"We've had an extremely fruitful 15-year relationship with Santini and look forward to maintaining the momentum through to the Gold Coast 2018 and Tokyo 2020," said Nick Green, the chief executive of Cycling Australia. "This partnership runs deeper than just the jerseys on the backs of our riders; we see Santini as one of our technological and innovation partners."

Earlier this month Santini struck a five-year deal with Unipublic, the organiser of the Vuelta a España, to produce all of the race’s classification jerseys beginning from 2017.
