Kids’ entertainment brand continues partnership with T20 Big Bash League.

Cricket Australia tunes in with Nickelodeon renewal

Cricket Australia (CA) has renewed its partnership with global kids’ entertainment brand Nickelodeon for a further year.

The two parties will once again work together on family-friendly initiatives surrounding CA’s domestic T20 competitions, the KFC Big Bash League (BBL) and the Rebel Women’s Big Bash League (WBBL).   

The partnership, which began during last season’s BBL 06 and WBBL 02, will deliver a range of free at-match family entertainment activities and digital promotions throughout the 2017/18 Big Bash season. These will include a competition giving young fans the opportunity to win family tickets for the final of the WBBL, to played on 4th February 2018 at an as-yet unconfirmed venue. 

For the second year running, Nickelodeon will also be working with CA to produce a kid’s television show hosted by former Queensland Bulls all-rounder Lee Carseldine.

“We believe this is going to be one of the most exciting Big Bash seasons to date, and we look forward to bringing the fast-paced on-field action and family-friendly off-field atmosphere to our fans across Australia with the support of Nickelodeon.”

The 2017/18 BBL begins on 19th December while the women’s tournament begins on 9th December. The two competitions will culminate in a double-header finals day on 4th February.
