Brazilian soccer side Corinthians have signed an extended and expanded agreement with headwear brand New Era.
The two have been partners since 2009, with the company creating licensed merchandise for Corinthians. Under the new agreement, New Era will work as an official sponsor of the São Paulo-based club for the next two years.
The deal will see New Era receive brand exposure on boards around the club's training ground and the rights to use Corinthians' badge and player images in its promotions and marketing. Corinthians will also share New Era's digital content across their social media platforms.
The first new line of products to be released will commemorate the 40th anniversary of Corinthians' 1977 Campeonato Paulista title win, which broke the side's infamous 23-year trophyless streak.
Corinthians finished the 2016 Campeonato Brasileiro in seventh place, missing out on qualification for the Copa Libertadores, South America's primary continental club soccer competition, by a single point.
