Brazilian soccer giants Corinthians have expanded their partnership with menswear chain Cia do Terno.
The deal will see the tailoring company become the official front-of-shirt sponsor of the side until at least the end of the 2017 Campeonato Brasileiro Série A season, with seven rounds still remaining.
Cia do Terno initially became a partner of Corinthians in July, and has now confirmed that the agreement will include valuable front-of-shirt inventory and run for the remainder of the year, with an option to extend into 2018.
Since their shirt deal with Caixa Bank was not renewed earlier this year, Corinthians have agreed a series of short-term sponsors for the position.
"The excellent brand exposure that Corinthians shirt offers, in addition to all the relationship potential that we can offer through our social networks and the proximity we have with the faithful crowd certainly convinced the Cia do Terno to do an 'upgrade' sponsorship and become our primary sponsor," said Corinthians' marketing director Fernando Sales.
Sao Paulo-based Corinthians presently sit top of the Campeonato table, five points clear of their city rivals Palmeiras. Earlier this year they also won the regional Campeonato Paulista.
