Coors Light makes donation to two universities
Coors Light will make a donation to the scholarship funds at both Grambling State University and Southern University as part of its sponsorship of the XXXVI State Farm Bayou Classic.
The match, played between the Grambling State University Tigers and Southern University Jaguars football teams, will be screened live on NBC Sports later this month. Coors Light will donate US$10,000 to each university as part of its sponsorship.
"As one of the nation's most renowned African American collegiate sporting events, the Bayou Classic remains a showcase for the Grambling State University Tigers and the Southern University Jaguars," said Moses Brewer, MillerCoors' multicultural relations director.
"We're proud of our scholarship sponsorship to Grambling and Southern universities, and to the student-athletes who play on their highly regarded football teams."
