The Alfa Romeo Sauber Formula One team have announced a partnership with Claro.
The company, which is a subsidiary of the Latin American telecommunications operator América Móvil, will serve as a premium partner of the Swiss motorsport outfit until the end of the 2018 season.
Claro’s logo will feature on the rear wing endplates of Sauber’s cars, as well as on the front noses.
The brand first partnered with Sauber from 2011 until 2014. The financial terms of the new contract have not been disclosed.
The news comes after Sauber signed premium partnerships with eyewear brand Carrera, luxury watchmaker Richard Mille and Italian sportswear brand Kappa earlier this week.
Sauber had an uninspiring season in 2017, finishing last in Formula One’s constructors’ championship with just five points. They will hope for more success in the 2018 season, which gets underway with the Australian Grand Prix in Melbourne on 25th March.
