China Dongxiang signs Norwegian Olympic sponsorship
China Dongxiang, the sportswear company, has signed a contract with the Norwegian Olympic Committee that will see Norway's athletes kitted out in Kappa and Phenix sportswear.
China Dongxiang will partner the team between 2009 and 2012, taking in the Vancouver and London Olympics. The company owns the Phenix brand, and has major distribution rights for Kappa.
"It is our honour to become the official partner of the Norwegian Olympic Committee," said Chen Yihong, chairman of China Dongxiang. "The strategic partnership, which demonstrates the recognition and confidence of the international sports sector toward our brands and products, will further enhance our brand exposure internationally.
"We will provide the Norwegian Olympic team with the most advanced and fashionable sportswear, enabling them to excel at competitions. We will also work closely with the team to explore more win-win cooperation."

- Annualised value: US$1.5 million
- Overall value: US$4.5 million
