Japanese watch brand Casio has signed a two-year deal to sponsor the Scuderia Toro Rosso Formula One team.
The company plans to use the association to promote its Edifice line of timepieces, which will be supplied to the team as part of the deal.
Casio’s logo will also appear on the race suits worn by Toro Rosso drivers Max Verstappen and Carlos Sainz this coming season, as well as on the nose of their STR11 cars.
A Toro Rosso statement said the ‘two speedy youngsters’ are ‘a perfect fit with Casio's target audience around the world’. Financial terms of the deal have not been released.
Casio was previously a partner of Red Bull Racing, Toro Rosso’s sister team which last year entered into a new partnership with Swiss watchmaker Tag Heuer.
This year’s Formula One world championship begins with the Australian Grand Prix in Melbourne next month.
