Carfax seals title sponsorship of Nascar race

06 May 2009 | Posted in Sponsorship, Motorsport | By Adam Fraser

Carfax will be the title sponsor of the Nascar Nationwide Series 250 race at Michigan International Speedway (MIS) for the fourth successive year.

The company's previous three years sponsoring the race, known as the Nascar Nationwide Series Carfax 250, have seen Dale Earnhardt Jr, Denny Hamlin and Carl Edwards take first place. The race, in August, will be televised live on ESPN2.

"It's great to be back again at MIS for the Carfax 250," said Bill Eager, vice president of Carfax. "For years, Carfax has helped dealers across Michigan and the rest of the country build consumer confidence and sell used cars faster. Carfax and its dealer customers welcome the millions of Nascar fans back for another unforgettable day of racing."

MIS president Roger Curtis said: "This extended relationship with Carfax demonstrates the strength of MIS and Nascar's Nationwide Series as viable marketing platforms to grow business and successfully reach consumers. Carfax is a proven and trusted leader in providing vehicle history reports to consumers. We are pleased to have them return to MIS and look forward to building upon our past successes well into the future."
