Sportswear manufacturer Canterbury has extended its sponsorship deal with the Rugby Football Union (RFU), the governing body for the sport in England, for four more years.
The deal will see Canterbury continue as the official England kit supplier beyond the 2019 Rugby World Cup, which is set to be staged in Japan.
Canterbury will continue to sponsor every England rugby squad and support grassroots rugby by maintaining its status as an official partner for All Schools, the RFU’s largest campaign for introducing new players to rugby which it introduced in 2012.
Sophie Goldschmidt, the RFU chief commercial & marketing officer, said: “Over the past four years we have built an extremely strong relationship that has ensured the England teams have the best technical kit available to them both on and off the pitch.
"Canterbury is also a valued partner in the grassroots game, having supplied over 300 schools new to rugby with their own bespoke rugby kits via All Schools.”
In addition to supplying the England rugby sides, Canterbury is the official sportswear supplier for Rugby World Cup 2015 and will supply the kit for match officials at the tournament, which kicks off on 18th September when hosts England take on Fiji at Twickenham.
