Burrda Sport signs on with USA Team Handball
Burrda Sport has signed on as the official apparal provider to USA Team Handball (USATH), in a deal secured by Pilatus Sports Management.
Beginning this spring, all USA men's and women's teams will wear Burrda apparel during official competitions, training sessions and travel. The broad partnership includes apparel for players, coaches and training staff – with plans in the works for options for lifestyle line, shoes and handballs in the years to come. The initial partnership includes a 'significant cash sponsorship' and thousands of articles of merchandise. Burrda Sport will also join the USATH board of directors.
"We have sought a partner like BURRDA SPORT for more than two years," said USATH general manager Steve Pastorino. "Burrda Sport is a fast-growing brand seeking performance excellence and innovative partnerships."
Pilatus Sports Management SA secured Burrda's sponsorship of the Qatar Football Assocation more than four years ago. A dozen soccer partnerships have followed including the Belgium national team, Wolverhampton Wanderers FC and FC Twente . Egypt and Great Britain are the two highest-profile handball federation partnerships.
