Top-flight English soccer side Burnley have agreed a new partnership with Bowland Brewery.
The local brewing company will serve as the official sponsor of the Premier League club’s fanzone at their Turf Moor stadium, in a deal which will see a number of the brewery’s ales sold at the facility.
Bowland Brewery will also benefit from the presence of a branded bus on site. The length and financial details of the agreement were not disclosed.
Chris Gibson, Burnley’s head of catering, said: “The fanzone has become the go-to meeting place for fans in recent years. The addition of Bowland Brewery’s quality products will take this area to the next level. Our fanzone is renowned for local real ales and our discerning fanbase will be more than happy with the quality products on offer.”
Warren Bennett, Bowland Brewery’s managing director, added: “We are a community-based Lancastrian company and proud to be part of the Burnley family going forward as sponsors of the fanzone. We’re delighted to get behind Sean Dyche and the team and wish the Clarets all the best for the new Premier League season.”
Burnley, whose recent pre-season friendly at home to German side Hannover 96 was abandoned due to crowd trouble, were the surprise package of the 2016/17 season, comfortably staving off relegation to eventually finish 16th. The Clarets kick off the new campaign away to champions Chelsea on 12th August.
