Tyre giant Bridgestone has reportedly become a gold partner of the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games.
Under the deal, reported by tyrepress.com, the Japanese company will back the local organising committee as well as Japan’s national Paralympic team until the end of 2020.
Bridgestone is already designated as the official tyre of all Summer and Winter Olympic Games until 2024, after signing a ten-year, US$350 million deal to become a worldwide TOP partner of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) in June 2014.
Financial terms of the company’s Paralympics sponsorship have not been released.
The Tokyo 2020 Paralympics are due to run from 25th August to 6th September 2020. Worldwide sponsors of the International Paralympic Committee (IPC) include Toyota, Panasonic, Samsung, Visa, Ottobock and Atos.
