Boxer Degale joins Roar Sports
Super middleweight boxer James Degale has signed a representation agreement with London-based sports agency Roar Sport.
The agency will now take responsibility for the commercial management of the boxer, who took gold at the 2008 summer Olympic Games in Beijing, China.
Simon Dent, the managing director of Roar Sport, commented: “This is by far the most important year of James career. James is on the path to a world title fight and the plan is to fight for the WBC Super Middleweight title this year. The journey starts on 1st March in Bristol and then a world title eliminator is on the cards with Badou Jack in early summer.”
Degale turned professional in 2009 and has a record of 17 victories and one defeat. The defeat came at the hands of his fierce London rival George Groves, who has since gone on to fight reigning IBF and WBA super middleweight champion Carl Froch.
