Top-tier German soccer side Borussia Mönchengladbach have announced a new long-term partnership with H-Hotels.
The deal will see the hotel group serve as the Bundesliga side’s sleeve sponsor throughout the 2017/18 season. Additionally, H-Hotels will upgrade its commitment in 2018 to become the club’s premium partner.
As part of the agreement, the company will also construct and operate a new hotel in the immediate vicinity of the five-time German champions’ Borussia-Park home ground.
Stephan Schippers, chief executive of Borussia Mönchengladbach, said: “We are very pleased that we have been able to win our strategic partner in H-hotels for the continuous further development of the Borussia-Park for a sustainable sponsorship partnership.
“In addition to the main sponsor Postbank and our equipment supplier Kappa, H-Hotels now has an advertising space on the most emotional piece of fabric - for players and fans. We are very pleased with this outstanding statement and the joint partnership.”
Alexander Fitz, chief executive of H-Hotels, added: “The passion that we have as a family business is also linked to sport. Therefore it is a special honour for us that we can now be so prominently represented on the player’s shirts.”
Borussia Mönchengladbach finished ninth in the Bundesliga in 2016/17, and kick off the new season at home to FC Köln on 20th August.
