Top-flight Italian soccer side Bologna have agreed a one-year extension of their partnership with Illumia.
Under the terms of the agreement, the local utilities brand’s logo will continue to adorn the back of the Serie A team’s playing shirts for the duration of the 2017/18 season.
Additionally, the renewal will see the company power the lighting at the club’s Stadio Renato Dall'Ara.
“In the past years we’ve shared Bologna’s will to grow and we’ve met other local companies such as Faac, Macron and Lavoropiù along the way,” said Marco Bernardi, president of Illumia. “We share the same approach as the club to invest in youth.”
“Along with Faac, we really wanted to extend the agreement with Illumia as a sponsor,” added Christoph Winterling, sales and marketing director for Bologna. “We’re continuing to put faith in the local area and with important businesses like Illumia who we share values with. We’re happy that we can have three partners on the shirt which is a rarity in football.”
Bologna finished 15th in Serie A in 2016/17. Fixtures for the new campaign are scheduled to be announced on 21st July.
