German second-tier soccer sides VfL Bochum and Arminia Bielefeld have both signed extended deals with major partners ahead of the start of the new 2. Bundesliga season.
Bochum have added another year to their agreement with tyre brand Viking, which will continue to display its branding in TV-visible advertising space at the club's Vonovia Ruhrstadion.
Arminia, meanwhile, have prematurely extended their partnership with local brewery Krombacher. The initial deal was set to expire at the end of the coming season, in June 2018, but the beer maker has signed on for a further four years.
The new deal, which sees Krombacher named an exclusive partner of the North Rhine-Westphalian side, will run until the end of the 2021/22 campaign and also includes significant in-ground advertising.
Bochum will play in the curtain-raising fixture of the 2017/18 2. Bundesliga season when they take on FC St Pauli at the Vonovia Ruhrstadion this evening.
