BMO Harris Bank has extended and expanded its longstanding partnership with the National Basketball Association’s (NBA) Milwaukee Bucks.
The company will continue to be listed as the team’s official bank, and will also become a founding partner of the franchise’s new Wisconsin Entertainment and Sports Center home, which is scheduled to be completed in time for the 2018/19 season.
The deal will lead to the installation of the BMO Club hospitality area on the event level of the new arena, while the two parties will also collaborate to launch a new Bucks-branded debit card.
The length and financial terms of the renewed agreement were not disclosed.
“The Bucks are excited for what the future holds with BMO Harris Bank as a founding partner of our new arena,” said Peter Feigin, president of the Milwaukee Bucks. “BMO Harris Bank has been a long-time valued partner of the Bucks and our expanding relationship demonstrates to our customers, fans and employees our deep-rooted commitment both organisations have to Milwaukee and the state of Wisconsin.”
David Casper, president and chief executive of BMO Harris Bank, added: “The Bucks have generated tremendous energy and excitement throughout Milwaukee, energy that will only increase when the new arena opens next year. We are thrilled to be part of that excitement by making a long-term commitment as a founding partner of the new arena, building on our 25-year relationship with the Bucks.”
The Milwaukee Bucks qualified for the season-ending NBA Playoffs in 2016/17, but were defeated in the first round by the Toronto Raptors. They start the new campaign away to the Boston Celtics on 18th October.
