The Bank of Ireland has agreed a five-year renewal with Irish rugby union team Leinster Rugby.
The financial service provider will continue to be Leinster’s front-of-shirt sponsor for the duration of the contract. It will also enjoy branding on the players' training kits and at the club’s home grounds, the RDS Arena and the Aviva Stadium.
The Irish commercial bank has also promised further investment in the province’s grassroots, community and schools initiatives. The financial terms of the agreement were not released.
“We want to continue to support the province as they make great strides in nurturing younger players and widening the talent pool to ensure the sustainability of the game into the future,” said Gemma Bell, sponsorship manager at the Bank of Ireland. “Leinster rugby has a long tradition and presence in local communities across the 12 counties with a very devoted fan base which is what makes the partnership such an excellent fit for Bank of Ireland.
“With 71,000 participants across 72 clubs and 560 schools, the association provides us with opportunities to strengthen local ties and develop new connections.”
Undefeated Leinster are currently top of the newly formed Pro14 Conference B after three games.
