The Austrian Football Association (ÖFB), the governing body for soccer in Austria, has announced a partnership with domestic supermarket chain Billa.
The deal, which runs until July 2020, will see the ÖFB and Billa collaborate on a joint initiative to promote the benefits of eating healthily and how sport can help fans to maintain a healthy lifestyle.
The financial terms of the agreement have not been released.
“Like the ÖFB, Billa always strives for the best performance for Austria - whether in the service for our customers, in price and performance, in the freshness of products or in dealing with the employees and regional partners,” said Billa chief executive Robert Nagele. “This connects us to football in Austria - and that’s why we are very excited about the new and comprehensive partnership with the ÖFB.”
Austria failed to qualify for this summer’s Fifa World Cup in Russia after finishing fourth in their qualifying group. They host Slovenia in a friendly on Friday.
