The Rockpool Dining Group has been named as an official restaurant of the 2018 Australian Open tennis tournament.
The announcement was made during the event’s hospitality launch at Melbourne Park, the home of the year’s opening Grand Slam, where the company will have a temporary restaurant to feed spectators during the two-week hard court event.
“We are beyond delighted to team up with Rockpool and look forward to bringing a range of wonderful and exciting new culinary experiences to tennis fans,” said Enda Cunningham, Tennis Australia’s head of hospitality. “Our hospitality experiences are continuing to grow and evolve, and we pride ourselves on providing unique opportunities that are seen nowhere else in the world.”
Neil Perry, Rockpool Dining Group’s director of culinary and brands, said: “We are looking forward to putting the Rockpool Dining Group stamp on the Australian Open, by showcasing the best of Australia’s homegrown produce and delivering it with our trademark attention to detail.”
The 2018 Australian Open will be the 106th edition of the event, and is scheduled to take place between 15th and 28th January 2018.
