American multinational telecommunications conglomerate AT&T has become a founding partner of Arthur Blank’s Mercedes-Benz Stadium.
The deal makes AT&T the official communications producer of the US$1.5 billion construction, which will be the home of National Football League (NFL) franchise the Atlanta Falcons and Major League Soccer (MLS) side Atlanta United FC from 26th August 2017. The multi-purpose arena is also scheduled to host the NFL’s Super Bowl LIII in 2019.
Along with delivering in-stadium wifi AT&T will have signage above west end zone, as well as a permanent interactive gathering spot called the AT&T Perch, which will feature a digital media column with multiple screens.
AT&T joins the stadium’s other founding partners: Coca-Cola, Equifax, Home Depot, NCR, Novelis, Scana Energy, SunTrust, IBM, Georgia Power and American Family Insurance.
