English second-tier soccer club Aston Villa have confirmed a new kit sponsor, with 32Red returning as principal partner.
The online betting firm's logo will feature on the front of Villa's home and away kits, as it did previously between 2006 and 2008.
Unibet, another brand of 32Red controlling company Kindred Goup and Villa’s kit sponsor for the 2017/18 season, will continue its association with the Championship club with branding on the training kit.
Aston Villa’s chief commercial officer, Luke Organ, said: "This season we will welcome back 32Red, a previous partner of the club, whilst we see a continuation of the great work with Unibet.
"Throughout the first year of our relationship, Unibet successfully delivered multiple ‘bettor experiences’ for Aston Villa’s loyal supporters, ensuring at every opportunity they provided a unique and exciting engagement for our fans. The last 12 months has seen a fruitful relationship develop and we very much look forward to building on that for the seasons ahead."
Elsewhere in the Championship, Nottingham Forest have penned what they describe as the ‘most significant’ shirt sponsorship in their history, with sports betting company BetBright.
Further down the English soccer pyramid, Oxford United have announced a two-year shirt sponsorship deal with Indian beer brand Singha, worth a reported six-figure sum.
Also in League One, Bradford City have signed a two-year training and travel wear sponsorship deal with local card payment solutions provider Yorkshire Payments.
