Asian Games accommodation contracts handed out
Seven hotels and hotel management companies have officially signed on with the 16th Asian Games, to be held in Guangzhou, China next year, to serve as accommodation service providers in the seven zones of the athletes' village and media village during the Games.
The deal will see the White Swan Hotel, Guangzhou Dong Fang Hotel Group Co., Ltd., Guangdong Yihao Hotel Management Company, Guangdong New Baiyun Hotel Co., Ltd., Hotel Canton Co., Ltd., Hainan Airlines Hotel (Group) Co., Ltd. and Guangzhou White Swan Hotel Property Management Company provide accommodation for more than 14,000 athletes and over 8,000 media representatives for the two and a half week event in November next year; a feat that will cost some US$3.6 million to achieve.
The athletes' village and media village in Guangzhou will consist of 74 single buildings with 16,872 rooms.
