French soccer champions AS Monaco have announced a partnership with the Seven League digital agency.
The company will be tasked with leading the Ligue 1 outfit’s global digital strategy as part of the club’s plan to capitalise on their increased profile and expand their international following.
Seven League has worked with European soccer’s governing body Uefa, English soccer’s Premier League and a host of Europe’s top clubs, including La Liga leaders Barcelona, Italian champions Juventus and English sides Tottenham Hotspur, Leicester City and Newcastle United.
“Since the beginning of our project, we have been working hard to bring our digital communication media to a high level,” said Monaco’s chief executive Vadim Vasilyev. “Today we think that we need to move forward. It is important for us to place innovation first in our engagement and we believe that Seven League will allow us to do so while keeping growing.”
Richard Ayers, chief executive of Seven League, added: “We look forward to using our vast experience in auditing, benchmarking, strategy and innovation to help this world-renowned club grow its audience and its revenue.”
Monaco are second in Ligue 1, 12 points behind runaway leaders Paris Saint-Germain. They will be looking to close that gap when they travel to play Toulouse in
their next game on Saturday.
