English soccer side Arsenal have secured a two-year agreement with Dutch Italian fashion house Cavallaro Napoli.
Cavallaro Napoli will be the reigning FA Cup champions’ official formal wear partner across the UK and Europe. It will provide Arsenal’s first-team players, management and senior staff with an official club collection - a navy wool single-breasted suit, paired with a white cotton shirt and red silk tie - on matchdays and at other official occasions.
Players and officials wore the bespoke suits for the first time at the FA Community Shield match against Premier League champions Chelsea at the home of English soccer, Wembley Stadium, on 6th August.
Gunner’s players will lend their images to Cavallaro Napoli to create unique content and promote the brand’s clothing. It will also have a strong presence throughout Arsenal’s digital platforms including Arsenal.com and its various social media platforms.
“We are delighted to welcome Cavallaro Napoli to the club as our official formal wear partner,” said Vinai Venkatesham, Arsenal’s chief commercial officer. “As a brand it has enjoyed huge growth since its inception in 2004 and is well known for its true craftsmanship, using the finest fabrics for its suits to ensure uncompromising quality.
Giuseppe Cavallaro, founder and owner of Cavallaro Napoli, added: "This is a unique opportunity for our young clothing company. We are proud of the confidence that the internationally renowned club has in us and we look forward to a fruitful collaboration.”
Arsenal finished fifth in the Premier League in 2016/17, marking the club’s first failure to qualify for the Uefa Champions League since the 1996/97 season. The Arsène Wenger-managed side did, nevertheless, win the 2016/17 FA Cup for a record 13th time, beating Chelsea 2-1 in the final at Wembley in May.
Arsenal kick off their 2017/18 Premier League campaign at home to Leicester City on 11th August.
