Top-flight Belgian soccer side Anderlecht have signed a four-year extension of their long-term partnership with main sponsor BNP Paribas Fortis.
The renewal will see the bank’s logo continue to adorn the front of the Belgian First Division A outfit’s playing shirts until the end of the 2020/21 season.
The deal marks the continuation of a partnership which first began in 1981. The announcement comes shortly after the 34-time Belgian champions revealed that insurance group Allianz will serve as their shirt sponsor in the Uefa Champions League for the 2017/18 season.
A press release from BNP Paribas Fortis read: ‘BNP Paribas Fortis is proud to have been with RSC Anderlecht for 36 years, because it is based on a common history and on core values that bring us together: team spirit, respect, accessibility and performance.’
Anderlecht were crowned champions of the Belgian First Division A in 2016/17, and got their title defence underway with a goalless draw away to Antwerp last Friday.
