The New Zealand Rugby Union (NZR) has signed a three-year sponsorship deal with underwear company Jockey.
The deal will see Jockey become the official off-field underwear sponsor for both the All Blacks and All Blacks sevens teams. The campaign will showcase the athletes in the new Jockey 2014 range.
All Black fly-half Dan Carter, who has featured in Jockey’s campaigns for the last ten years, will step away from the camera to become a global ambassador for the Jockey international brand.
The sponsorship will allow Jockey to use nine All Blacks players in a marketing campaign but will not see its logo on the players’ shirts.
"It's great to see a partnership between a brand Kiwis love and their favourite rugby teams," said NZR chief executive Steve Tew.
"We are excited to embark on the next chapter with the All Blacks and All Blacks Sevens sponsorship," added Jane Lawry, Jockey’s marketing manager. "The players are leaders in their field, so it's only right that New Zealand's favourite underwear brand is building on a partnership with the world’s greatest rugby teams."
