Adidas signs deal with Al Ahli to break Saudi Arabia

International sports brand Adidas has signed a three-year agreement to provide kit for Al Ahli, the Saudi soccer club, as well as the club's basketball and volleyball teams.

The club will keep the green and white colours it shares with the Saudi national team, and joins clubs as famous as Chelsea, Liverpool and Real Madrid on Adidas' roster.

"Al Ahli is one of the largest clubs in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia," said Jad Chouman, head of product and sports marketing Adidas emerging markets. "I am extremely proud to announce our sponsorship agreement with the club. The team has a strong record of success with some outstanding players. We want to be able to provide Al Ahli team with the best products possible to help them perform on the pitch."

Al Ahli president Abdul Aziz Al Ankari added: "The sponsorship represents Al Ahli's confidence in a world leading sports brand such as Adidas.
