Scottish top-flight soccer club Aberdeen have renewed their long-term partnership with Saltire Energy.
The global energy company has sponsored the Scottish Premiership side since 2014, and the brand’s logo will continue to adorn the front of the first team, under-20 and youth academy playing shirts until May 2019.
“We're delighted Mike Loggie and Saltire Energy have agreed to extend their involvement as club sponsor until 2019,” said George Yule, Aberdeen’s vice chairman. “We've some very exciting times ahead, both on and off the park, and its great news that Saltire Energy will continue alongside us on this journey.”
Mike Loggie, chief executive of Saltire Energy added: “Saltire Energy and Aberdeen Football Club have developed an excellent relationship during our term as the club sponsor, so when we were approached by AFC to consider an extension of our arrangement, we were delighted to do this as we've had many great moments over the last few seasons - and look forward to many more in times ahead.”
Aberdeen finished second in the Scottish Premiership in 2016/17, and suffered further heartbreak in the 2017 Scottish Cup final, conceding a last-minute goal in a 2-1 defeat to treble-winning Celtic.
