Koch and Egger head up new venture for Kentaro and Sporteo
Global sports agency Kentaro has announced a joint venture with Sporteo. The new venture, headquartered in Switzerland, will focus on LED-advertising boards and will be headed up by Christian Koch of Kentaro and Hanno Egger of Sporteo.
Sporteo has a long history with the Austrian Football Bundesliga and markets TV-related LED screens for eight of the ten clubs. The agency has also provided LED boards for over 30 World Cup qualifying matches. Kentaro is responsible for the global television and marketing rights of over 30 European football clubs and over 25 national federations. Kentaro employed the Sporteo advertising boards for its Brazil World Tour.
“We too always preferred to rely on Sporteo’s systems when marketing our many international qualifying andfriendly matches,” said Philipp Grothe, the Kentaro Group chief executive. “Considering our dynamic growth and in view of the upcoming Euro 2012 qualifiers, now is the perfect time to further expand our co-operation with Sporteo.”
“We are delighted to work closer with Kentaro in the future,” said Hanno Egger, Sporteo’s chief executive. “LED boards are the advertising platform of the future. Together with Kentaro, we will convince sponsors throughout the world of its benefits – and that is not only in football, but also in other sports.”
