Corcoran leaves Fenway to start Shamrock Sports Group

Brian Corcoran, the former Nascar managing director, has left his position as executive vice president of the Fenway Sports Group to launch his own agency, Shamrock Sports Group.
Shamrock Sports Group will be based in Portland, Maine.
Corcoran spent six years at Nascar as managing director and has spent the past two with Fenway.
"I have enjoyed building winning partnerships between global sports properties and blue chip brands. Shamrock Sports Group will leverage the strength of our sales and marketing team, partners and entrepreneurial spirit to create results-orientated programmes," said Corcoran.
Aligning with Shamrock Sports Group's corporate mantra 'Green is Good', the agency will provide strategic eco-friendly consulting services to sports properties and sponsors alike. Corcoran stated: "Fansumers are realising the importance of preserving the environment, while brands are taking notice. Shamrock will work as a catalyst with sports properties as well as brands to create eco-friendly awareness and advocacy programmes."
Prior to joining Nascar, Corcoran served as vice president of Team, League & Venue Services for SFX Sports, where he spearheaded sales and management for various sports properties.
