USA Cycling, the governing body of cycling in the US, has named Rob Borland as its new chief marketing officer.
British-born, US-based Borland will be responsible for delivering brand, marketing and commercial sponsorship strategies at USA Cycling. He previously held the position of chief marketing officer at Molson Coors International.
“The sport of cycling has enjoyed explosive growth over the past several years. At a time when we are working closely with our stakeholders to define the USA Cycling brand and develop new strategic partnerships, Rob brings an incredible wealth of brand development and marketing experience to the team,” said USA Cycling president and chief executive Steve Johnson.
Borland, who started his new role on 19th February, added: “I am very excited to join USA Cycling and work with the organisation’s members, its staff and many stakeholders across the sport to help make America the most successful country in the world of competitive cycling.”
